Carolyn Wolf-Gould
Founder and Attending Physician, Gender Wellness Center
Dr. Carolyn Wolf-Gould (she/her) is a family physician, historian, and author who founded a rural-based interdisciplinary center for transgender people in upstate NY. She is on a mission to educate clinicians and the public about the necessity of ensuring quality healthcare for transgender and gender-diverse people.
Carolyn has served as a family physician since 1994 and has been practicing transgender medicine as part of general primary care since 2007. She attended Hamilton College and Yale University School of Medicine. She is the founder of The Gender Wellness Center at Susquehanna Family Practice, an interdisciplinary center that has grown rapidly to meet the needs of patients in upstate NY. She and her team of providers received a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Grant from 2016 – 2019.
She is a coeditor and contributor to the book ‘A History of Transgender of Transgender Medicine in the United States: From Margins to Mainstream’.
